Karen Chan L.Ac. is a California State Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She has been studying and practicing in the health field for over 10 years as a massage therapist and now as an acupuncturist.
Karen holds a Masters degree (MSTCM) in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland. While studying TCM, she worked at Acupuncture clinics in Walnut Creek and Berkeley to further expand her knowledge of TCM and herbal medicine. She has also served as professional support staff at Pharmaca Integrated Pharmacy providing guidance for customers seeking herbal advice.
She specializes in women's health especially menstrual disorders. Acupuncture and herbal treatments can help with amenorrhea, painful or irregular menses. Having a regular menstrual cycle is very important for preventing future fertility issues. It is always best to prevent a condition with preventative care, rather than treat a condition after it has started. To this end, Karen believes proper diet and preventative care is the best way to achieve and maintain optimum health. At your first visit she will give you an overall assessment and create a personalized treatment plan to bring your body back to balance so you will feel healthy and strong.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her new grand baby. She loves being outdoor and trying out new recipes.
