The area in the front of the tongue, right behind the tip, belong to the Lungs. What I generally look for in tongue diagnosis are: size, color, shape, coating and the thickness of the coating as well as cracks or fissure cracks and the their locations where the coating and cracks appear.

- White coating: Wind cold, with this you may also notice a stiff neck or headache
- Yellow tint: Heat cold, this is a progression of the aforementioned, you may also experience sore throat and warmth
